Cellular operators are offering more and more subscription text services to their subscribers these days. Since most of these services are based on the distribution of content in SMS messages‚ the subscriber must take additional steps to view it. There is a much more convenient way to deliver content to the subscriber‚ and that is to deliver it directly to the handset screen.
A1 Systems Company has developed a service called SmartScreen‚ which is a separate component of our comprehensive NaviSIM SDP solution. SmartScreen service incorporates ICB and SMS.
On the subscriber’s SIM card‚ the operator installs a special application that receives messages from the service and displays it in a non-intrusive manner on the display‚ without interfering with the operation of the phone. With SmartScreen‚ the operator can distribute content en masse and send personalized messages to individual subscribers (for example‚ display the account balance in real time).

The module also makes possible a service called LiveBalance‚ which displays the subscriber’s balance in real time.
The information on the display is updated every time the account balance changes‚ so the caller always knows the account balance and can replenish the account in a timely fashion.
For the operator:
The operator gets an additional information service in which it can inform the subscriber and distribute advertising in a non-intrusive manner‚ as the channel does not require opt-in from subscribers.
For the subscriber:
The subscriber is not required to perform extra steps to read incoming content‚ as it is displayed directly on the handset. The services are easily customizable.
